Petra Salinas Fullerton, 82, of Duncan passed away Friday, September 1, 2017 at her home in Duncan.
Graveside services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday in the Bailey Cemetery under the direction of the Bailey-Polk Funeral Home.
Petra was born July 3, 1935 at Ysleta, Texas just outside of El Paso, Texas the daughter of Eusebio and Vicente (Provencio) Salinas. She and Robert C. Fullerton were married at El Paso, Texas on April 14, 1956 and he preceded her in death on May 14, 2009. They moved to Oklahoma and raised five children. She had several occupations including nurse’s aide for a nursing home at the time of her retirement, attended the Catholic Church, enjoyed gardening, visiting with people and spending time with her family. Her children will always remember her strength and courage that carried her through all the tough times in her life. She never gave up even when her health started failing. She always loved her family. She was also preceded in death by her parents and a great grandchild, two sons-in-law Jimmy Taylor and Cecil Mcconnell.
Survivors include three sons Robert Wayne Fullerton of Duncan, Jimmy Ray Fullerton of Rush Springs and James Buckley Fullerton of Duncan; two daughters Patty Taylor of Velma and Mary Linda Thompson of Crescent, Oklahoma; 7 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.
