Bailes-Polk Funeral Home 910 W. Oak Duncan, Oklahoma 73533 (580) 255-5252 Orville Lee Cox, 82, of Duncan went to be with the Lord and Savior Thursday, September 2nd, 2010at his home in Duncan. Graveside services will be 10:00 AM Tuesday in the Resthaven Memorial Gardens Cemetery under the direction of the Bailes-Polk Funeral Home. Military honors will be rendered by the Stephens County Combined Honors Team and the Patriot Guard. Orville was born December 7, 1927 at Comanche, Oklahoma the son of Charles Ernest and Sarah J. Gates Cox. He served in the United States Army During World War II. He and Wanell Lyle were married at Waurika, Oklahoma on June 3, 1950. He worked in manufacturing at Haliburton, was a member of the Immanuel Baptist Church, a member of the National and Oklahoma Riffle Associations, loved fishing, hunting and collecting metal trucks and planes. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers J.B. Cox, James Cox and Marvin Cox. Survivors include his wife Wanell Cox of the home in Duncan; a son Larry Cox and his wife Jeannie of Tuscaloosa, Alabama; a daughter Patti Turley and her husband Russell of Duncan; granddaughter Sarah Turley of Duncan; grandsons Charley Cox of Tuscaloosa, Alabama and Logan Turley of Duncan and great granddaughter Hailey Toellner of Duncan.
