Martha Ann Monahn

Martha Ann Monahan, 78, of Duncan passed away Thursday, April 23, 2015 in the Wilkins Nursing Center. Graveside memorial services will be 3:00 PM Wednesday in the New Velma Cemetery under the direction of the Bailes-Polk Funeral Home. Martha was born February 11, 1937 at Great Bend, Kansas the daughter of George and Goldie (McFarland) Lacey. She and William Monahan were married at Salome, Arkansas on July 3, 1955 and he preceded her in death on February 12, 2011. She worked in the Walmart Garden Center for many years, loved reading, gardening, sewing and make flower arrangements. She was also preceded in death by her parents, her daughter Martha (Dutchy) Monahan and two sons Ricky and George Monahan. Survivors include three brothers James Lacey and his wife Linda of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, Howard Lacey and his wife Margret of Sedro Wolley, Washington and Larry Lacey and his wife Billie of Caliente, Nevada; two sisters Sheila Norris and her husband Norris of Lawton, Oklahoma and Linda Lacey of San Bernadino, California; her daughters Edith Monahan and Kathy Bryan of Washington and Bonnie Hall of Colorado and a son William Monahan of California; Numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
