Karen Annette McCown, 70, of Duncan, Oklahoma passed from this life Tuesday, February 13, 2024 in the Marlow Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation in Marlow, Oklahoma.

Graveside services will be 2:00 PM Friday in the McCown Family Cemetery under the direction of the Bailes-Polk Funeral Home.

Karen was born October 28, 1953 in Duncan, Oklahoma the daughter of Bob and Beth (Foster) Werner. She and Richard Keith McCown were married in Duncan, Oklahoma on July 17, 1977. She worked as a Medical Transcriptionist, enjoyed playing the Dulcimer, fishing, water skiing, reading books, shooting, gardening, planting and growing flowers and traveling. She was a member of the Hope Community Church. She was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her husband Richard McCown of the home in Comanche, Oklahoma; children Lori Clark and Shelly McCown both of Cushing, Oklahoma, Jamie McCown and wife Paula of Knox City, Texas and Justin McCown and wife Susan of Comanche, Oklahoma; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren and siblings Kenny Werner of Corpus Christy, Texas, Keith Werner of North Carolina and Kirk Werner of Bray, Oklahoma.
