Joiel Leroy"Mack" Chapman

Joiel LeRoy "Mack", 75, Of Duncan passed away Tuesday, February 4th, 2014 in the Saint Anthony Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Service will be 2:00 PM Saturday in the Bethesda Church of God with Reverend Harold Metheny officiating. Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery at Comanche under the direction of the Bailes - Polk Funeral Home. The family will receive friends for visitation at the funeral home from 6-8 PM on Friday. Mack was born September 18, 1938 at Hastings, Oklahoma the son of Joiel Oliver and Oma (Mitchell) Chapman. He attended the Loco Schools and served in the United States Army from 1961 to 1963. He and Elwanda Winter were married at Wichita Falls, Texas on December 31, 1959 and she preceded him in death. He worked for Bullards Oil Field Service for 38 years. He loved working on cars, fishing, hunting, rodeo and working with animals. He was also preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and two sisters. Survivors include his son Gary Chapman and his wife Sharon of Rowlett, Texas; his daughter Janet Gibbs of Duncan; three granddaughters Dallas Cowen and her husband Freddy of Duncan, Kimberly Chapman of Rowlett, Texas and Kelly Costello and her husband Sean of Rockwall, Texas; three great grandchildren Halie Cowen of Duncan and Kaylee and Emma Wait both of Rowlett, Texas; two brothers Bob Chapman and his wife Joyce of Whitewright, Texas and Byrle Autie Chapman and his wife Judy of Colorado City, Texas and two sisters Mary O'Dell and her husband Keith of Choctaw, Oklahoma and Ada Huckabee and her husband Noah of St. Jo, Texas; two special sister-in-laws Wanda and Marion Chapman both of Velma, Oklahoma as well as numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends. Pallbearers will be Joe Stewart, Skeet Chapman, Bim Chapman, W.O. Chapman, Mark Ely, Levi Williams and Sean Thompson.
