Jane Pinkerton Benson

Jane P. Benson, 75, of Marlow, Oklahoma passed away Wednesday, March 26, 2014 in the Duncan Regional Hospital. Services will be 10:00 AM Friday in the Bible Baptist Church with Dr. Jeremy R. Taylor officiating. Interment will be in the Ft. Sill National Veterans Cemetery under the direction of the Bailes-Polk Funeral Home. The family will receive friends for visitation at the funeral home from 6-8 PM Thursday. Jane was born December 31, 1938 at Kensett, Arkansas the daughter of James Egan and Ruby (Baker) Pinkerton. She and Norman Ralph Benson were married at Lawton, Oklahoma on August 22, 1979 and he preceded her in death on October 22, 2012. She was a faithful member of the Bible Baptist Church, her love was collecting and selling antiques, Indian jewelry and pottery and she was a member of the antique car club. She was also preceded in death by her parents and a brother. Survivors include three sons Lance Gray of Marlow, Oklahoma, Kenneth Benson of Mesquite, Texas and Brian Benson of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; three daughters Kathy Kloss of Norman, Oklahoma, Karen Blakemore of Comanche, Oklahoma and Debbie Jones of Duncan; a brother John Pinkerton of Sommerville, Texas as well as seventeen grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
