James (Jim) William Conde, Jr., 80, of Duncan passed from this life to his heavenly home on Wednesday, August 11, 2021. Memorial Services officiated by Ron Stough will be held at the East Side Church of Christ, Saturday August 14th, at 11:00 AM Services are under the direction of the Bailes-Polk Funeral Home. There will be no prior visitation. Jim was born June 29, 1941, in Manhattan, Kansas the son of James William Conde, Sr and Alberta (Ferleman) Conde. He graduated from high school in Alta Vista, Kansas. He met his lifelong sweetheart Elva McBee in Emporia, Kansas while attending Ks. State Teachers College in 1962 and they married on January 17, 1963. Jim and Elva settled in and raised their children in Douglass Ks after leaving Emporia and eventually moved to Duncan OK in 2010 from Wichita, Kansas. In the 80's and 90's Jim worked as a production coordinator in the aircraft industry, and eventually designed the Zipper Lawnmower and served as the start-up company's regional manager over numerous states. In his earlier years, he developed his own firewood and fireplace tool company which he expanded into chimney sweeping.. Jim loved horses and both rodeoed and showed them throughout his life. Jim also enjoyed golfing, and playing pool in his spare time, still finding time to coach little league baseball for a number of years, coaching from his son's little league to his great grandson's little league. He was a member of the Duncan Moose Lodge and the Eastside Church of Christ after moving to Duncan. . He was preceded in death by his parents, and a son Jason Evan Conde. Survivors include his wife Elva of the home in Duncan; son Robert James Conde and wife Debbie of Wichita, Kansas; daughter Janice Schornick and husband Mickey of Duncan, Oklahoma; his brother Max Conde and wife Janice; sister Sue Ellen Greene and husband Andy; grandchildren Ryan Jade LeFavor and husband Damien, Katelyn Joann Schornick, Sarah Ann Schornick and Samantha Marie Miller and husband Nathan and nine great grandchildren, whom he was so very proud of.
