Fred G. 'Chic' Wilson passed away peacefully in his home on Monday, December 20, 2010 at the age of 90. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 22, 2010at Bethesda Church of God with Reverend Harold Metheny and Reverend Alton Hutto officiating.Interment will be in the Parks Cemetery under the direction of Bailes - Polk Funeral Home. The family will receive friends for visitation at the funeral home from 5 - 7 PM on Tuesday. He was born April 10, 1920 in Santa Fe, Oklahoma at the family homestead to Benjamin H. and Georganna (Doan) Wilson. He married Virdean Chapman on November 5, 1941 in Waruika, Oklahoma. Fred worked in the oilfield and worked the family farm for many years. He was a licensed Assembly of God minister, and served in the military during World War II. Survivors include his wife of the home, one son and daughter-in-law, Dan 'Eugene' and Grace Wilson of Santa Fe, two granddaughters and their husbands, Angela and Kenneth Maxwell of Velma and Brenda and Mike Coffia of Santa Fe, two great-granddaughters, Danielle and Deena, and one great-great-grandson, J.D., one sister and her husband, Gert and Charlie Long and one sister-in-law, Fern Wilson, all of Duncan. Pall Bearers will be Skeet Chapman, Bim Chapman, Leo Stagner, Fonnie Voight, Al WIlson, and Alan Wilson.
