Fanny W. Russell

Sis Fanny Willean Russell, 100, of Duncan passed away Thursday, May 2nd, 2013 in the Wilkins Nursing Center. Services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday in the Bailes-Polk Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Ronald Boyd officiating. Interment will be in the Five Mile Cemetery near Hennepin, Oklahoma. Fanny was born December 7, 1912 at Wynnewood, Oklahoma the daughter of Lewins and Mary Russell. She grew up in Hennepin, Oklahoma as an only child. When she was fourteen in the mid 1920's she left home to work for a young family. From Tulsa she went with the fisher family to Atlanta, Georgia, Baltimore, Maryland, Washington D.C. to Denver, Colorado where she lived until her move to Duncan, Oklahoma. She united with the Church of the Living God under the Elder Herbert Jenkins. She loved the Lord. She would say, "You never know what's next for you but you go with what God has for you. God's been good to me and blessed me and I love him with all my heart and mind. She is survived by many cousins and numerous friends.
