Dorenda Mae Speed, 73, of Duncan passed away Monday, June 8, 2015 in the Duncan Regional Hospital. Services will be 11:00 AM Thursday at Bethel Assembly of God Church with Dr. Larry Martin officiating. Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery in Comanche under the direction of the Bailes-Polk Funeral Home. The family will receive friends for visitation at the funeral home from 6:00-8:00 PM on Wednesday. Dorenda was born April 8, 1942 at Comanche, Oklahoma the daughter of Marvin and Mildred (Thompson) Martin. She and Harold D. Speed were married June 4, 1958 at Comanche, Oklahoma and he preceded her in death on June 2, 2004. She attended Comanche High School and was a member of Bethel Assembly of God Church in Duncan. Dorenda enjoyed going to the Senior Center where she created ceramics and paintings. She looked forward to and loved the Beautiful Day Kindred Community dinners each month. Her greatest joy by far was getting to spend time with her family and loving on her great grandbabies. Survivors include her three daughters Debbi Waugh and her husband Bryan of Duncan, JoJo Suson and her husband Mark of Norman and Dede Lee and her husband Rodney of Duncan; six grandchildren Megan Monteith and her husband Mark, Bryce Waugh and his wife Lacy, Joshua Suson and his wife Addison, Kirsten Suson, KK Tiffany and her husband Andrew and Kyle Lee and his wife Libby; four great grandchildren Maelyn Monteith, Jasper Lee, Evangelina Suson and Claire Tiffany, her fifth great grandchild, Marston Monteith will arrive in July; her brothers Austin Martin and his wife Cindy, Danny Martin and Larry Martin, brothers-in-law Art Speed and his wife Anna, Danny Speed and his wife Nancy; her aunt Evelyn Martin; her close cousin Linda Weeaks, and many other nieces, nephews, and cousins. Dorenda was also preceded in death by her parents, two sisters-in-law, Terry Martin and T.J. Martin Her grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.
