Debra Sue Werner, 61, of Altus passed away Monday, October 7, 2013 in the Jackson County Memorial Hospital, Services will be 10:00 AM Friday in the Ray of Hope Church with Lyndall Werner officiating. Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of the Bailes - Polk Funeral Home. Debra was born August 6, 1952 at Comanche, Oklahoma the daughter of Joe and Ratta Mae (Tom) McDonald. She graduated from the Comanche High School in 1970. She and Kirk Werner were married at Duncan, Oklahoma on April 23, 1971. She was a Homemaker who loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. She loved to go camping and watch OU football. She was preceded in death by her father, two nephews and her father-in-law Bob Werner. Survivors include her husband Kirk Werner of the home in Altus; two sons Travis Werner of Corpus Christy, Texas and Joe Bob Werner and his wife Tiffany of Castroville, Texas; four grandchildren Cheyenne Werner, Steven Werner, Dalton Werner and Cailey Werner, mother Ratta Mae McDonald of Duncan, Ok; two sisters Becky Robertson and her husband Troy of Duncan and Wanda Rasberry and her husband Robert of Comanche, Ok; a brother Thomas McDonald and his wife Gina of Comanche, Ok; her mother-in-law Beth Werner of Duncan, Ok also preceded in death by numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Brent Taylor, Jarrord Murray, Justin McCowan, Lyn Werner, Ryan Taylor and Steve Red Elk. Honorary pallbearers will be Dalton Werner and Steven Werner. The family has requested that donation be made to the Schriners Hospitals.
