Dearl Gene Fish

Dearl Gene Fish, 83, of Duncan passed from this life Friday, February 3, 2023 at home surrounded by his family.


Services will be 10:00 AM Wednesday in the Bailes-Polk Funeral Home with Pastor Jean Patterson officiating. Interment will follow in the Duncan Cemetery.


There will be no visitation at the funeral home. A register book will be available Monday.


Dearl was born June 28, 1939 in Hastings, Oklahoma the son of Thomas Harris and Ada (Vanwinkle) Fish. He served in the United States Army. He and Phyllis Punneo were married in Wichita Falls, Texas on October 17, 1959 and they were married 63 years at the time of his death. He built several businesses from the ground up with nothing but his determination and hard work ethic to support his family. This work ethic and determination he passed on to his family. He and his son Wayne were the owners of Southwest Plating Company in Duncan. He enjoyed watching Fox News, taking care of his animals and his life was devoted to his wife Phyllis and his family. He was a member of the Doyle Community Church. He and Phyllis were both baptized at the same time in 2015. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Harold Fish and his wife. He was loved by all of those he met.


Survivors include wife Phyllis Fish of the home in Duncan; children Wayne Fish and wife Jana, Angela Kaus and husband Rodney, Darinda Montgomery and Randy, Kasey Edison and husband Paul and Allison Logan and husband Andy; grandchildren Jonathan Fish and wife Lynzi, Stephen Fish and wife Courtney, Justin Kaus and wife Stephanie, Darren Kaus and wife Madison, Matthew Kaus and wife Dakota, Tristan Kaus, Cheyenne Kaus, Abby Kaus, Kylie Starnes and husband David, Kelsie Brown and husband Cade, Karlie Lee and husband Trucker, Mason Beavers and wife Kaitlyn, Kase Beavers and wife Alyssa, Addie Elroy and husband Michael, Victoria Beavers and Michael, Jake Logan, Callie Logan, Brittani Johnson and husband Randy, Kaili McCauley and Bradi Blanco; great grandchildren Jaxon Fish, Jayci Fish, Brayley Fish, Kendallyn Fish, Axton Fish, Reese Fish, Grasyn Kaus, Kannon Kaus, Conner Kaus, Eli Kaus, Emerson Kaus, Easton Starnes, Everett Starnes, Jaylee Brown, Axelson Brown, Kinleigh Lee, Teagan Lee, Josiah Lee, Opie Beavers, Juddson Beavers, Everly Elroy, Parker Johnson, Kinley Johnson, Presley Johnson, Hayes Johnson and Mason McCauley; sister Iva Mae Younts and her husband Melvin as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and a host of friends.


Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Michael Marrillo, Marty Kaus and Noe Sanchez.
