Colleen Lee

Colleen Janette Lee, age 93, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, July 16, 2024, at Elk Crossing Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Duncan, Oklahoma.

Her life will be celebrated with a funeral service at 1:00 PM on Monday, July 22, 2024, at Faith Church, officiated by Reverend David Morrow and Reverend Harold Metheny. Following the service, she will be laid to rest at Letitia Cemetery under the compassionate direction of Bailes-Polk Funeral Home. Visitation hours for friends and family will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 PM on Sunday at the funeral home.

Colleen was born on December 10, 1930, in Nocona, Texas, the cherished daughter of Lee Iberia and Ella Mattie (Brewer) Inman. On December 12, 1945, she married the love of her life, Jessie James Lee, in Lawton, Oklahoma, and together they shared many hardworking joyful years until his passing on July 27, 1996. Colleen was known for her entrepreneurial spirit, owning Granny's Flea Market and Lee's Auction Block, and dedicating herself to Gary Criswell Auction Service where she was fondly known to all as Grandma. She found joy in decorating her yard and exploring garage sales and auctions. Every year she looked forward to participating in the World's Largest Garage Sale! Grandma joyfully hosted her extensive family for every special occasion, never missing a chance to host a fun and memorable gathering, just like she did this past Easter. She enjoyed the challenge that puzzles brought, often spending hours with her great and great-great-grandchildren putting them together.

In addition to her husband and parents, Colleen was preceded in death by her siblings and two beloved daughters, Betty Criswell and Janette Nichols. She is survived by her sons, Billy Lee and his wife Sherry, and Doyle Lee and his wife Ginger, son-in laws, Gary Criswell and Michael Hunt, all residing in Duncan, Oklahoma. Colleen leaves behind a legacy of love and family, including grandchildren Robert Lee and his wife Carrie, Charlotte Brooks and her husband Carlton, Billy Lee, Jr and wife Charlotte, Lela Vanschepen, Debbie Nichols, Kim Weaver and her husband Darrell, Kevin Lee and his wife Jamie, Jason Hunt and his wife Sharon, Brooke Evans and her husband Aaron, Brandon Lee and his wife Jessica, Samantha Lee, Jessie Lee and his wife Samantha, Jessica Nichols, and Chris Nichols. Colleen's life also touched 33 great-grandchildren and 40 great-great-grandchildren.

Honoring her with love and respect, pallbearers will include Aaron Nichols, Zack Nichols, Daniel Lee, Jessie Lee, Clayton Lee, and Dylan Lee.
