Carl Dean Sellers

Carl Dean Sellers was born April 11, 1947 and passed away at his home in Velma on December 26th, 2015. Carl Dean, affectionately known as "Bull" or "Bull Dean" was a well-known character in the Velma area having lived there most of his life. Bull was a truck driver, dozer operator, shade-tree mechanic and jack of all trades who worked in the oilfield most of his adult life. His love of children and animals was well known to family and friends. Bull was the son of the late Carl Andrew Sellers and Gloria Dean Romine Sellers. Bull enjoyed working in his garden and shared the fruits of his harvest with friends and neighbors. He was a hard worker who was always available to help out a friend in need. Bull was preceded in death by his brother Aire (Willy). He is survived by his brothers Michael (Mike) Sellers and Jeffrey Sellers of Duncan, and Jerry Sellers of Mesa, AZ and his sisters Donna Waldroup of Duncan and Carma Hauptmann of Marana, AZ as well as Shiloh Womack of Velma, OK, "the son he never had." He was also was uncle to 10 nieces and nephews and 17 great nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his good friends Bill Cundiff of Lindsey, OK and Lawrence Denny Jr. (Hump) of Duncan, OK. Cremation was carried out under the direction of Bailes-Polk Funeral Home. Interment services will be 11:00 AM Saturday in the New Velma Cemetery.
