Billie Hanson

Billie Hanson, 85, of Duncan passed away Monday, July 8, 2013 in the Country Club Care Center. Services will be 10:00 AM Thursday in the Bethesda Church of God with Reverend Harold Metheny officiating. Interment will be in the Marlow Cemetery under the direction of the Bailes-Polk Funeral Home. Billie was born May 9, 1928 at Fox, Oklahoma the daughter of R.D. and Edna H. (Hall) Phipps. She and Jimmie Hanson were married November 14, 1944 at Lubbock, Texas. She worked as the manager of Jiffy Convenience Stores for many years. She was a faithful active member of the Bethesda Church of God and never met a stranger. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son Jimmy Don Hanson and a granddaughter Bobbie Guajardo. Survivors include her husband Jimmie of the home in Duncan; her daughter Linda Smith and her husband Robert of Duncan; seven grandchildren Wayne Smith and his wife Tonia, Kim Brown and her husband Randy, Larry Smith and his wife Dawana, Mike Smith and his wife Becky, Christy Mayes and her husband Donald and Frank Edwards; thirteen grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Kyle Smith, Cody Brown, Daniel Smith, Chase Smith, Chris Smith, Bradley Guajardo and Brandon Davoult. Online Condolences may be made at www.bailespolk.com
