Beau Andrew Moore was born October 3rd, 1963 to Edward Lee Moore Sr and Jerrie Sue (Finch) Rexroat in Ada Oklahoma. Beau passed away Monday, June 26th in Norman Oklahoma after a long battle with Rheumatoid Arthritis. He is preceded in death by father Edward Lee Moore Sr, grandparents Lee and Lela Moore, Calvin and Billie Bailes, and Beverly and Hazel Finch.
Survived by mother Willa Jo Moore of Washington OK, birth mother Jerrie Sue Rexroat, one brother Edward Lee Moore Jr and wife Fay of Blanchard OK, 5 sisters, Angela Clester and husband John of Okeene OK; Dee Lyles and husband Wilson of Goldsby OK and Jeanie Deal and husband DJ, Robin Davis and Shelly Bowen, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and 4 great-great nieces.
Beau was raised in Tribbey Ok and graduated from Wanette High School, despite many ongoing health issues and surgeries. He lived many places in his life, including Konawa, Catoosa, Tecumseh, Oklahoma City and Las Vegas NV. Beau was a proud member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows, enjoyed working on cars, watching and reading sci-fi stories, anything to do with Marvel Characters and in the last few years enjoyed reading his Bible and sending all of his loved ones daily Bible scriptures, in 3 different versions. Beau worked many jobs over the years, including a radio DJ and cameraman for a TV show at the Imperial Palace in Las Vegas. Beau was a very talented artist. He worked with many art mediums including clay, pastels, paints, and especially pencil. As a teenager, he was featured on the front page of a local paper for his artwork. He was an overcomer who met all of his physical challenges with determination. Beau was a great spiritual witness as God had healed his body many times. He was proud to be the President of the Resident's Association at the assisted living center where he spent the last nearly 20 years of his life.
Special thanks to all the staff at 24th Place Nursing Home in Norman OK and HALO Hospice that not only took care of Beau, became his friend, but became part of his family.
Please join the family in a celebration of Beau's life will be held Saturday, July 8th, 2023 at 2:00 pm at the Veterans Memorial Park (inside the white building), 300 North State Street in Konawa OK. In lieu of flowers, donations are appreciated to the Arthritis Foundation, www.arthritis.org. Funeral services under the direction of Bailes-Polk Funeral Home of Duncan OK.
