Wbiliado Varela, 99, of Duncan passed from this life Friday, March 4, 20222 at his home in Duncan.
Services will be 2:00 PM Thursday, March 10, 2022 in the Primera Iglesia Bautista Church with Reverend Rigoberto Varela Varela officiating. Interment will follow in the Duncan Cemetery under the directions of the Bailes-Polk Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends for visitation at the funeral home from 6-8 PM on Wednesday.
Wblilado was born November 15, 1922 in Casas Grandes, Mexico the son of Antonio and Maria (Rodriguez) Varela. He and Juana Rodriguez were married November 17, 1946 in Moctecuma, Mexico and had been happily married for 75 years. He worked as a taxi driver in Mexico before coming to the United States. He then worked 30 years as a butcher for the Goodners Grocery Store in Duncan. He loved cooking for his family, working in the yard and especially love watching his grandchildren play softball and baseball. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Raul Varel and a daughter Maria de Refujin Quiz.
Survivors include his wife Juana Varela of the home in Duncan, Oklahoma; daughters Maria I Varela of Duncan, Oklahoma and Julieta Inghram and her husband Chriss of Chickasha, Oklahoma; sons Rigoberto Varela and his wife Gloria of Duncan, Oklahoma and Wbiliada Varela and his wife Guadalupe of Marlow, Oklahoma.
Pallbearers will be Alex Inghram, Eduardo Varela, Manuel Carrasco, Samuel Varela, Joe Galindo, Ramon Garcia, Serjio Quiz and Francisco Garcia.
