Barbara Nell Davis

Barbara Nell Davis, 77, of Duncan passed away Sunday, January 15, 2017 in the Elk Crossing Nursing and Rehab. Services will be 2:00 PM in the First Baptist Church with Pastor Garry Davis and Ed Bingham officiating. Interment will follow in the Duncan Cemetery under the direction of the Bailes-Polk Funeral Home. The family will receive friends for visitation at the funeral home fro 5-7 PM on Wednesday. Barbara was born October 28, 1939 in Lampasses, Texas the daughter of Fred and Nora Louise (Huggins) Cox. She and Freddy Davis were married in Duncan, Oklahoma on July 6, 1990 and he preceded her in death on March 12, 2010. Barbara was the owner of Barb's Specialty Advertizing, a member of the Moose Lodge, President of the PRCA Stamped Rodeo and served on the board of the Chisholm Trail Heritage Center. She enjoyed singing, dancing, playing piano but most of all she loved her church the Chisholm Trail Cowboy Church. She was also preceded in death by her parents, brother Charles Cox, sister Earnestine Cook, great grandchild Jovin Ray Cloud and her biological father Ira Cummings. Survivors include her daughters Cheryl Montgomery of Red River, New Mexico and Cindy Robinson and her husband Joe of Marlow; son Kevin Davis and his wife Syvonna of Duncan; sisters Jeannie Bowden and her husband Bo, Yvette Garcia and Yvonne Shannon and her husband Junior all of Duncan; brother Fred Cox Jr. of Velma; grandchildren Carolyn Carter, Chris Gary, Rusty Wayne Davis, Michael Cramton, Bryce Davis, Samantha Cloud and Brittany Cramton; four great grandchildren along with many more family members and a host of friends. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Chisholm Trail Cowboy Church.
